The MCP3427 is a two channel low-noise, high accuracy delta-sigma A/D converter with differential inputs and up to 16 bits of resolution. The on-board precision 2.048V reference voltage enables an input range of ±2.048V differentially. The device uses a two-wire IC? compatible serial interface and operates from a single power supply ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V. The MCP3427 device performs conversions at rates of 15, 60 or 240 samples per second depending on user controllable configuration bit settings using the two-wire I2C?Compatible Compatible compatible serial interface. The IC address is user configurable with two address selection pins. This device has an onboard programmable gain amplifier (PGA). User can select the PGA gain of x1, x2, x4, or x8 before the analog-to-digital conversion takes place. This allows the MCP3427 device to convert a smaller input signal with high resolution. The device has two conversion modes: (a) Continuous mode and (b) One-Shot mode. In One-Shot mode, the device enters a low current standby mode automatically after one conversion. This reduces current consumption greatly during idle periods. The TC7116A is a 3? digit CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) containing all the active components necessary to construct a 0.05% resolution measurement system. Seven-segment decoders, polarity and digit drivers, voltage reference, and clock circuit are integrated on-chip. The TC7116A drives liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and includes a backplane driver. These devices incorporate a display hold (HLDR) function. The TC7116A reduces linearity error to less than 1 count. Roll-over error (the difference in readings for equal magnitude but opposite polarity input signals) is below ±1 count. High-impedance differential inputs offer 1 pA leakage current and a 1012Ohm input impedance. The auto-zero cycle guarantees a zero display reading with a 0V input. The TC850 is a monolithic CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with resolution of 15-bits plus sign. It combines a chopper-stabilized buffer and integrator with a unique multiple-slope integration technique that increases conversion speed. The result is 16 times improvement in speed over previous 15-bit, monolithic integrating ADCs (from 2.5 conversions per sec up to 40 per sec). Only a voltage reference and a few noncritical passive components are required to form a complete 15-bit plus sign ADC. CMOS processing provides the TC850 with high-impedance differential inputs. Input bias current is typically only 30pA, permitting direct interface to sensors. Input sensitivity of 100 ?V per least significant bit (LSB) eliminates the need for precision external amplifiers. The internal amplifiers are auto-zeroed, guaranteeing a zero digital output with 0V analog input. Conversions can be performed continuously or on command. Operating from ±5V supplies, the TC850 dissipates only 20mW.
